About World Clock: A timezone app
World Clock
World Clock shows you what timezone your customers are in and the difference from your current timezone.
If you have agents in multiple timezones, World Clock shows them those timezones and even shows your agents what location is closest to your customer. This makes it easy to figure out exactly who should take a support request.
Quickly see:
- Your time and date (based on your computers clock)
- Your customers time and date (based on the Time zone field of the Zendesk contact)
- A night/day icon indicating if the user is within normal business hours (8am - 6pm local time) at a glance
- [optional] Other timezones that you provide support in (configuration required)
- [optional] The location closest to your customers timezone

Installation
Basic Installation
- Click the Install button on this page to install the app in your Zendesk instance
- Once installed, configure additional timezones using IANA format (see below)
Configuring Timezones (optional)
Additional timezones must be put in the apps configuration settings in IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority) timezone format. This makes sure the times are always correct, regardless of Daylight Saving Time changes.
You can find all of the IANA formats here: IANA TIMEZONE FORMATS.
You can optionally provide a custom label for the timezonse. To provide a custom label, place a comma after the IANA timezone and type your label.
