Data handling & privacy

This app connects your Zendesk account to Magento so you can view and manage customer and order information directly in tickets and contacts. It runs entirely on Zendesk’s App Framework and communicates directly with Magento’s API. No data passes through any other servers. All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Your Magento Access Token is stored securely in Zendesk and is never sent to third parties. Data stays only in your Zendesk and Magento accounts.

Installation

You need administrator permissions in both Magento 2 (Open Source or Commerce) and Zendesk Support to set up the integration.

  1. Create a new integration and generate an Access Token in your Magento store.

  2. When creating the integration, be sure to provide access to the Sales, Catalog, Customers and Stores resources, all of which are required by the app.

  3. Click the Free trial button in the Zendesk App Marketplace to set up the Magento app in your Zendesk Support account.

  4. Enter the domain of your Magento store, which is the URL without the https:// and trailing slash. For example, www.mystore.com.

  5. Enter the full URL of your Magento store. For example, https://www.mystore.com.

  6. Enter the Access Token from the first step.

  7. Select which app features you would like to enable for agents.

  8. Click on the Install button to finalize the installation and enjoy the benefits of having Magento and Zendesk work seamlessly together.
