How it works
The app scans your channels for new video comments regularly. If a customer posts a new comment, the app will create a new ticket in Zendesk. Then, your agents can label this ticket, route it, and reply to the customer via Zendesk.

Data Handling & Privacy
- Transfers video comments between YouTube and Zendesk; no other Zendesk data accessed.
- Data stored: YouTube user identifiers (username, ID, avatar) and messages.
- Retention: messages 30 days.
- Secure backend processing; access restricted to required integration permissions.
Installation
- Install the app from Zendesk Marketplace. Use NOCC coupon to avoid entering credit card.
- Go to Admin Center -> Channel apps -> OAPPS Comments for YouTube.
- Click Add Account on the Accounts tab.
- Press Continue With Google.
- Select your Google account (if you have multiple).
- Grant permissions. All of the permissions are required to get access to read and post back Youtube comments.
- Select the YouTube channel you own or enter your YouTube channel ID. The integration will scan for new comments in the selected channel.
- Optionally open advanced settings. There you can:
- Configure tags that will be added to tickets created from YouTube Comments.
- Configure ticket subject prefix for YouTube tickets.
- You can also select the calendar date if you need to pull comments that were posted some time ago.
- Click Save to complete.
